Falling In Love

Have you ever read a quote and thought, “Wow, that is so absolutely true?” Well, I found one this morning that was so perfect, I had to pass it on to you.

"You are proof that love before first sight does exist."

Araceli M. Ream

The minute you find out you’re pregnant you start to be a bit more careful in the things you do, what you eat, what you drink, how you exercise, how much you rest.

Don’t we all just start looking after ourselves that much more? You begin to feel responsible for the little one growing inside of you and straight away as you begin to protect your foetus. This is all before the scan or any kicks reminding you that you have an actual baby growing and developing inside you.

Our mind and body are so connected that our emotional connection to our foetus just grows stronger week by week. How amazing is nature that creates the energy inside you to develop a strong bond between you and your foetus. The love created by this bond is devoid of any payback or expectations, it's total unconditional love. I’m sure there aren’t many people in your life where the bond and love are so strong that you sacrifice and give up things in your life like you do for your growing foetus.

Nine months you wait until you can physically hold your baby in your arms and it’s a reality but until then you feel, image, and visualise your growing baby and that’s all you need to fall completely in love.

The restfulness, morning sickness, swollen feet, tiredness, heartburn don’t change your feelings of love, you just start to expect certain symptoms trimester by trimester. You just learn to become more patient and resilient as the weeks go by.

All of this is what defines motherhood falling totally and completely in love unconditionally.
